Uninstall GPT for Word

caution

Uninstalling GPT for Word means removing the GPT for Excel Word add-in from both Word and Excel.

1. In Word, select Add-ins in the Home tab.

   

   note

   If you're on a Mac, select Get Add-ins in the Insert tab.

2. Click More Add-ins.

   

   The Office Add-ins pop-up opens.

3. Select the MY ADD-INS tab, hover over GPT for Excel Word, and click the Options menu icon.

   

4. Select Remove.

   

   A confirmation pop-up opens.

   tip

   If the Remove option is not available in the menu, clear the Microsoft Office cache:

   1. Close all Office applications.

   2. Follow Microsoft's instructions for clearing the cache.

   3. Open Word and try removing the add-in again.

5. Click Remove to confirm.

The GPT for Excel Word add-in is removed from Word and Excel. If you ever need to use the add-in again, follow the installation process.

note

Removing the add-in does not remove its app access permissions from your Microsoft account. You can remove access manually.
